We hope that the sun will shine for us on Wednesday, April 25th, when we will have our next get together at Caffe History in Tkalciceva 68!

Please come and join your fellow expats for another great international evening from 7pm onwards, meet, mix and mingle and have lots of fun! There will be some drink specials as well – to be announced soon! Please don’t forget to spread the word amongst your friends, co-workers and other global minds, and invite them to sign up for Zagreb expat meet up, too!

Live the International spirit – Nobody stands alone! For many guests, it’ll be the first Expat event; quite a few people will arrive on their own. Please help make them feel welcome. If you see someone alone in a corner, it’d be great if you introduced them to your friends. In this way, we can share the spirit of connecting global minds, and every member will have a lovely time.

AISZ PTA Spring Dance/Auction

The American International School of Zagreb Parent Teacher Association will be holding their 11th Annual Spring Dance and Auction on Saturday, March 24th at 18:30 at the Regent Esplanade. The purpose of the Dance/Auction is to raise funds which enable the students of AISZ to support local charities, through donations and service work. It also helps PTA support the students and staff by purchasing educational items. There are many items at the Auction not available in Zagreb. We are very grateful to Austrian Airlines for their donation of two round trip tickets from Zagreb (Via Vienna) to 80 locations in Europe and to Turkish Airlines for their donation of two round trip tickets from Zagreb to Istanbul. Dance tickets cost 400kn per person and will be available in the AISZ school court yard from:

March 1st &2nd 14:45 – 16:00
March 8th & 9th 14:45 – 16:00
PTA General Meeting on March 8th at 6:30 PM
March 12th -16th 14:45 – 16:00

February meet up

Dear all,

One month has already passed since the last meet up gathering! Living in the spirit of St. Valentine’s day, it has been planned to have this month a more “romantic” venue for our get-together!

Place: Chez Bardot, Medulićeva 20

Date: 29.02.2012

Time: 19:00

The restaurant offers two beers (Belgian beers) and a buffet of cheese for 75kn! For those who do not like to participate in the offer, drinks can be bought normally at the bar! To confirm that you would like to participate in the offer of two beers and the Cheese buffet please reply to this email with comment “I join the offer” till the 27/02/2012. In this way we can arrange the logistics of the Cheese appropriately!

The new year has started and the first Meet up gathering of this year in Zagreb takes place next week! We will all have the chance to catch up with each other and talk about our plans for 2012!

The Place: Khala – lounge and wine bar

The Date: Thursday, 19th of January 2012, from 19:00 to 23:00

Meet ups are back from vacation
